ABOUT ME

I work from my garden studio, at home in central Bristol. I love life and find inspiration all around me; from vibrant cities, both here and abroad, to mountain-top views, bold architecture and intricate details – along with passionate people who, like me, love life and are not afraid to challenge every day norms.

My style has developed over ten years. Today, I like to keep forms simple and let the glaze bring pieces to life. Bolder, stronger colours change according to the temperature and where the piece sits in the kiln. The edge can take on a coppery hue from the oxides. A sheen can develop when the glaze sits more heavily on the inner part of the piece. No one form is ever the same; each is hand-thrown, so can never be identical, and I believe it’s this uniqueness that gives every piece its individual charm.
